Terms & Conditions
This is a legal contract between ‘YOU’ the Buyer and ‘TTints’ the Seller from here on referred to as Buyer and Seller. The Buyer ‘YOU’ and Seller ‘TTints’ shall agree upon the following terms and conditions prior to any transaction being agreed upon and transacted for goods or services.
Multimedia Entertainment Systems
Multimedia Navigation Receiver Systems will be referred to as ‘MMI units’ from here on.
MMI units are direct replacement vehicle Audio systems.
MMI units require specialist knowledge of installation and installation must only be carried out by trained professionals.
The term ‘plug and play’ is only reference used for trained specialists whom will carry out the installation of the MMI unit. The term ‘plug and play’ should not be understood or taken into account as a product or procedure easily acted out.
The manufacturer and we the seller both highly recommends MMI Units to be installed by a trained professional.
A. The product
MMI Unit functions vary between models and are listed at time of advertisement.
The MMI will work to functions as described at time of advertisement although operational software may change without notice according to manufacturer’s preferences; this may cause characteristics of functions to operate differently than advertised although the function will remain. In the event a complete function is removed we will notify or update advertisements prior to sale.
All MMI units are thoroughly tested before dispatch, each function is tested and photographic images recorded of the cosmetic appearance of the unit including recorded list of ancillary cables or harness.
A photographic record is taken of all accessories supplied before dispatch.
The unit is designed for the vehicle it is intended for; if it is fitted to a vehicle it is not designated for your warranty terms will be void and you will not be entitled to any cash reimbursement.
The MMI unit will provide support to 3rd party products manufactured in or around the time of the MMI unit’s manufacturer. We cannot guarantee compatibility of other future 3rd party products interacting with the MMI unit other than those in Market at time of MMI unit sale.
For Example; A Playstation 2 games console cannot support PlayStation 6 games.
All losses of standard features in vehicles original state is disclosed as per MMI model to its intended vehicle.
We will disclose any product defects or compatibility losses in advertisement or prior to sale whether cosmetic, hardware or software based.
For example; Will my instrument cluster between dash dials still display Radio station name? All compatibility losses will be stated in advertisements or prompted when questioned at time of sale.
Additional integration, MMI unit advertised will show all functions and capabilities, due to the nature of MMI units using Windows based operating systems, other retailers may offer the same product with other superior functionality, in the event you use or download software or firmware other than what is recommended by us or included in your package and as a result the unit becomes unstable or renders faulty, we the seller will refuse and void your warranty terms.
For Example; a mobile phone sold through a network operator will bear the operators preferred features, once the phone is maliciously unbranded other features may become available, upon visiting your retailer if any faults occur by un branding, unlocking, unauthorised software updates, your retailer will refuse to handle the phone and your warranty is instantly void.
The MMI unit is manufactured, built or assembled according to United Kingdom and International laws, therefore any changes to software or hardware found, not available from us the seller, will void warranty.
The MMI unit if advertised as or with navigation receiver hardware will require software to enable usage.
Software for navigation is not provided. Additional costs will be incurred to purchase software, we the seller is not required to provide software for your navigation receiver.
For example; A Playstation games console at different point of sales does not include any games.
Advertisements showing Navigation software incorporated will clearly show individual cost of software and individual cost of MMi unit then showing a total cost.
Navigation Software if provided is a 3rd party product, you have a duty to research the type of software provided is to your liking before breaking seals of packaging or registering software.
The MMi unit when received should be in reasonable time (7 working Days) fully tested by you, to verify all the operations are working as advertised.
B. Refunds or Returns
Online customers have a 7 days cooling off period.
If no solution can be provided and unit needs to be returned for inspection or diagnostics and repairs, before returning a product, a Valid RMA reference number must be obtained via email confirmation.
You are responsible for the return of goods.
Return carriage costs are to be met by you.
Any software i.e. Navigation software must not be used, registered or have seals broken. If Navigation software seals are broken the Navigation software value amount will be retained upon any refunds.
MMI units must be returned in original state without grazing; markings or bruising, Original packaging other than protective film must be returned intact.
All cables must be returned with support cables i.e. iPod leads, amplifier connections and any other cables of this nature.
All cables must be returned in its original state without dressing materials used at time of installation.
For Example; Any cables returned with sticky tape attached will incur removal charges.
Refunds will be refused if returned items do not meet the above conditions set.
Unless stated otherwise deliveries may take up to 30 days.
B2. Faulty Items
Any faulty items received must be reported within 7 days, after 7 days and within 6 months items will be repaired or replaced.
Any item over 6 months will be repaired under manufacturer’s warranty by the seller. Warranty replacements could take up to 28days and will not be reimbursed to your warranty days whilst in our custody.
Any signs of misuse, wear and tear or accidental damage we retain the right to rectify.
Any fraudulent claims or MMI units being maliciously damaged to obtain an cash reimbursement will be reported to Police and MMI unit will be retained, you will be liable for all legal fee’s.
All online sales are subjected to the above terms and conditions, any online purchases paid via PayPal or Ebay or any other payment/auction agency with collection
from TTints will require valid Passport and Drivers License also for the prevention of fraud we will require a thumb print on the collection note.
C. Usage Policy
C1. In the unlikely event of a refund our usage policy safeguards all our customers new and returning. All products of entertainment nature such as media players, sound enhancement etc. may incur a reconditioning fee at time of return. (For in house installation additional charges including installation and de-installation fee’s will be held) Within the multiple user environments where products are fitted, items can be mishandled causing troubleshooting errors or faults therefore warranty limitations apply.
C2. End User Policy
All plug and play products supplied require specialist knowledge and must be accompanied with a receipt from a VAT registered fitting centre as proof of competent installation in the event any faults arise.
All products installed or sold are in a brand new unused condition unless otherwise stated/informed at time of sale.
D. In Shop Installation
D1. All products are tried and tested before, during and after installation. It is up to the vehicle owner to check vehicle manufacturer warranty terms for aftermarket installations. We will advise of all known problems to the best of our knowledge before installing aftermarket products. Any perishable parts i.e. door clips, window mechanisms fasteners etc. of this nature will be noted during installation, we will charge to repair and replace such components, TTints will not be held liable for these parts perishing whilst work is undertaken. We will try to repair or replace any components deemed perishable within reasonable means of cost. Any problems which later arise after return of vehicle to owner in other areas of vehicle not involved with modification or install will be subject to labour costs for diagnostics or repair. All electronic parts worked on or around modification areas will be thoroughly shown as working before your departure. Any faults occurring at a later date in areas worked on or around earlier approved by both parties will be subject to examination before defects are rectified. All TTints workmanship is warranted from date of install.
- Installing your own product? – After installation if the product is not functioning, TTints will not be held liable and any labour required will be chargeable at your own cost.
- Diagnosing Faults – If we are diagnosing faults and as a result of our investigation other faults occur – TTints will not be held liable.
- Self installing? – If returning goods that are faulty or otherwise, please see our terms below as conditions are set.
Any alterations or modifications made to vehicles to accommodate new products cannot be reversed. Any possible reversals will be charged to rectify. Any faulty products will be replaced with same or similar functionality of value within period and product terms.
Any products or items found faulty due to neglect or misuse will not be refunded or replaced, although TTints will repair under your own costs.
All faulty products will be sent away to manufacturers for repair or fault finding a maximum 28 day period is required if faults cannot be repaired in house.
Any products purchased for self install must be fitted by a specialised and a VAT registered fitting centre accompanied with receipt as proof of competency before claim will be handled. We will replace if product is found to be defective under our stringent tests with a refurbished product of the same value and similar features.
E. Warranty – User damages will void warranty
E1. Window Tinting
Lifetime guarantee on film under same owner – workmanship will be signed off by both parties. For legal purposes TTints will only apply 70%VLT film on front windows – front passenger and front driver unless requested by vehicle owner for show purposes, TTints will not be held liable for any court or legal actions arising from this request.
E2. Vehicle Wrapping
Manufacturer’s warranty on defects of film – workmanship will be signed off by both parties. The vehicle must be in original or intact in forms of paintwork and lacquer, if when applying film the paint or lacquer peels, TTints will not be held responsible.
E3. Xenon Headlights
3000 hours warranty on ballasts. 6 months troubleshooting free diagnostics.
E4. Bluetooth Car Kits
1 year manufacturer’s warranty – free TTints replacement and re-install.
E5. Parking Sensors
1 year manufacturer’s warranty – free TTints replacement and re-install.
E6. Headrest Monitors
1 year warranty on product – 1st 6 months free replace and repair on faulty and electronic parts 2nd 6 months customer bears parts costs. Labour costs will be free under usage policy in second period – free replacement and reinstall. Replacements may be done using reconditioned stock.
E7. Roof/Arm Mount Monitors
1 year warranty on product – 1st 6 months free replace and repair faulty electronic parts 2nd 6 months customer bears parts costs & labour costs will be free under usage policy – free replacement and re-install
E8. Customer Supplied Product
Workmanship warranted 6 months only. Each and every diagnostic/repair will be charged.
E9. Booking In
When calling to book an appointment, we ask that you provide us with full contact details, correct postal address and a deposit to secure the booking.
Once your vehicle has been booked into our system, if you wish to cancel or rearrange the booking a period of 24 hours notice is required. Any no show, cancellation or late turn ups could render your deposit non refundable, deposit amount depends on type of sale.
F. UK Tech Spec Repair Service
If your unit is within your suppliers warranty period you must include the original proof of purchase or the extended warranty policy, even if documentation is in Chinese.
All warranty repairs are carried out subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions. You will be asked, usually via email, to confirm you are willing to pay any charges that you have not been made aware of.
Work will not proceed on your unit until you have told us that you wish the chargeable repair to be made. To confirm you wish to continue with the repair, you will be sent an email for you to reply too. If your unit is beyond economical repair then the unit will be returned to you. If we find that there is ‘No fault found’ then the unit to be returned to you.
Please note: Tech Spec retains the right to cancel any order if we feel our service is being misused.
Make sure you visit http://www.ttints.co.uk/uktechspec/ to submit your Repair Form. Repairs cannot be processed without one. A 30 Day Warranty is offered on all Repairs
G. Non Insured Vehicles
If your vehicle is not insured or road worthy (unless delivered by tow truck) whilst it is in our premises, any accidents which result to significant or total loss beyond repair will not be paid out from our insurers, TTints will not pay cash or out of court settlements for uninsured vehicles.
H. Online Purchases
All online sales are subject to the above terms and conditions, any online purchases paid via PayPal or Ebay or any other payment agency with collection from TTints will require valid Passport and Drivers License also for the prevention of fraud we will require a thumbprint on collection note.
J. TV in Motion
Our products activate ‘screen off’ in DVD or video mode whilst vehicle is in motion, if this function is bypassed upon request, TTints will not be held liable for any damages to user or users vehicle which may later arise.
K. Criminal Use
To safeguard TTints and its employees who have handled vehicle whilst application of its products or service If we find any vehicles to have remains of criminal activities i.e. containing counterfeit, drugs or illegal weapons including guns, bullets or used cartridges will be immediately reported to the police, we adhere to strict zero tolerance in supporting vehicles used for criminal purposes.
L. Fraud Prevention
Vehicle log book must be presented upon booking in at premises if asked for, failure to do so will result in refusal to undertake work.
Calls maybe recorded for fraud prevention.
M. Use Of Data
TTints will use the personal data from all it resources for advertising purposes. All hard copies of data will be destroyed, TTints will not be held responsible for any data stolen as a result of malicious hacking or computer virus.
N. Use of Third Party Materials
TTints may use third party pictures, logo’s to describe and bring understanding of its products suitability to the general public. All products of TTints (not third party products) are manufactured or distributed by TTints. In some circumstances third party logo’s or product pictures will be used to show fitment types to demonstrate compatibility for usage with our manufactured or distributed products. In doing so we do not associate our product to be of or related to unless otherwise showing written statements stated in promotional materials of being in conjunction with other manufacturers products, we do not associate or create false impression to mislead our products to be or are endorsed by other parties.
Third party logos are used for reference point in educational and honest practice usage. Third party logo’s or materials are the rightful property of its owners. If you feel our efforts to demonstrate our products compatibility using references as mentioned above conflicting with your trademark rights please contact us immediately.
TTints, Tried and tested, Multimedia Navigation are registered trademarks of TTints LTD. No part of this document or trademarks or logos may be copied or altered in any form. Legal proceedings will be taken against any copyright infringement.
These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
